Steamed Conehead Corn Bread(窝窝头)

This is common in northern China's menu. It used to be the staple food of the poor. Using corn meal as the main ingredient, it is high in fiber and is now promoted as the healthy food. 

Ingredients:

Corn flour - 1 cup
Glutinous rice flour - 3 TBSP
Powdered sugar or caster sugar - 1 TBSP (if use granulated sugar, melt it in the hot water)
Hot water - 1/3 cup
Oil - 1 tsp
Condensed milk - 1.5 TBSP
Milk - about 1/2 - 1 cup

Steps:

1. Whisk together all dry ingredients  in a mixing bowl.
2. Blend in all wet ingredients except milk.
3. Add milk slowly until the dough can be kneaded.
4. Divide the dough into 3/4" - 1" round balls.
5. For each ball, form a cap on your index finger. Then roll on pastry board to smooth out the cone-head.
6. Place the corn bread in steamer, and steam for 8 minutes. You can eat this warm or cold.
